Jesus is forming a new people and teaching them a way of being that is in alignment with the character and kingdom of God. Jesus is teaching us about a kind of righteousness that is greater than the scribes and Pharisees. So it should not surprise us that Jesus would call us to a higher view of marriage than most people are willing to embrace.
This is episode six in our study of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, and today we are going to listen to what Jesus has to say about divorce and staying committed to your wife.
