My Story
My spiritual journey began when I met a group of baseball players who were talking about Jesus and communicating the story of the Bible in a way that felt more real and honest than anything I had ever heard before. I had grown up with wonderful parents in a good Christian home, but during my time in professional baseball, I developed a friendship with a chaplain named Brian Hommel that changed my life forever.
I played eleven seasons of professional baseball, but during the last few years of my career, I became passionate about helping my teammates see Jesus and the Bible in fresh new ways. I wanted to deepen my understanding of theology so I went on to pursue a degree in ministry studies at Grace College and Seminary in Warsaw, IN.
After retiring from baseball, I immediately began to work for a small ministry called, Unlimited Potential and began serving as the chaplain for the Atlanta Braves. Those twelve years of ministry in the professional baseball world were the most formative years of my life and have shaped me into the man that I am today.
Currently, I reside in Dublin, Georgia with my beautiful wife, Tanner, and our four wonderful and amazing kids. In all of my work, I love helping people learn a new way of life and a new way of seeing the world based on the life and teaching of Jesus.
Thanks for being here, and I hope you find it helpful!
